Jianbing is the most popular Chinese street food. It originated from ShangDong province in Northern China, but flourished in Beijing, Tianjin, and Shanghai. Now it thrives all over China.
As Chinese-Americans, we are passionate about Chinese Traditional street food. Coincidentally, when we went back to China last year, we had a chance to relish an authentic Jianbing in a time-honored restaurant. Each bite was an explosion of authentic oriental flavor. We were inspired by the owner Master Zhou’s exquisite culinary skills. This indelible experience made us learn the magic art of preparing Jianbing, and bring the secret recipe back to America. Under Master Zhou’s personal instructions, we fuse the Chinese style with the American taste to create this scrumptious dish.
