Polpetti (formally The Original Meatball Vault) was founded by brothers Anthony and Michael Ferrazzuolo. The Ferrazzuolo Boys grew up as part of a family-run business established in 1991 under the successful ownership of their parents Tony and Gina Ferrazzuolo. After studying Entrepreneurship and Finance at the University of Illinois at Chicago, they decided to start their own business. They realized they had been studying and learning under the best influence, their father, and wanted to put that invaluable knowledge and experience into practice. Anthony and Michael decided to diversify and created a division of their father’s company using products and formulas from their father coupled with their knowledge of their own heritage and launched their specialty line of meatballs. Before they knew it, The Original Meatball Vault was born. Their first location opened up in May 2014 at Tinley Park First Midwest Bank Amphitheater, followed by a second at Alpine Valley. The Ferrazzuolo brothers are excited to be opening their third location in the Chicago French Market, in October 2014.
The Ferrazzuolo Boys are very excited to continue offering superior products using all natural meats, local veggies, non-GMO and MSG-free products. The Original Meatball Vault provides a new twist on a traditional favorite product, serving four different types of homemade meatballs in a variety of ways including their famous Cup, a smashed Panini, as a sub, in a boat over pasta or polenta, or in a salad box. Once customers decide how they want their meatballs the fun begins! Choose from different sauces and an array of gourmet toppings to create and enjoy meatballs in countless combinations. There are also additional Italian treats on the menu like Mamma’s famously delicious Ricotta Cookies, Tiramisu or a Bag of Cannoli Chips and Cream and, to complete the menu, Homemade Italian Ice.
